1. Early Mornings: The Day Begins
Life at Covenant University starts early! Classes typically begin around 8 a.m., so the first challenge is mastering the art of waking up on time. By 6 a.m., students are usually up, showering, and preparing for the day. The university’s dress code calls for formal attire in class, so no rolling out of bed in sweatpants here! After breakfast, it’s off to class, and the walk across campus is a chance to enjoy the well-maintained lawns and pristine environment.
2. Classes and Academic Life
As a 100-level student, your schedule is filled with foundational courses. These are meant to ground you in your chosen field, whether it’s engineering, social sciences, or management. Covenant University’s lecturers are highly qualified, and classes are structured to foster discipline and excellence. In most classes, attendance and participation are mandatory, so skipping isn’t an option. Classes are held in large lecture halls, and it can feel daunting at first, but you quickly get used to the system.
Every student is also part of the Total Man Concept (TMC) course, a hallmark of Covenant University. TMC focuses on personal development and spiritual growth, with classes and seminars designed to mold students into “total” individuals who excel in all areas of life.
